Rules for Submission
- You must be a registered member of Deep Thought to post.
Free registration | Log in - Submissions must be your own work (quotes, references to other works OK).
- Submissions can not be slanderous or hateful in nature, nor can they promote anything illegal.
- Keep language and content reasonably clean.
- Spamming and press releases are not permitted. Send all press releases to instead.
- Articles should be at least a full paragraph (but may be shorter if written succinctly).
- Approval of submissions is at the sole discretion of Deep Thought. We're not very strict, but we reserve the right to turn down any submission for any reason.
- Additional criteria for features:
- Reviews should be for products that have been updated or released fairly recently (say, the last 2 months). We'd love a hands-on review of the new Mactels when they are released, however we don't want reviews of obsolete products like OS 9 or the original iMac.
- Please do not write about products that you are heavily involved with. We don't want small developers to toot their own horns using these forms; rather, issue a press release, and if your product is good it will get a favorable review soon enough.
- Interviews should be with someone fairly closely connected to the world of technology, but other areas are welcome, such as science, mathematics, archeology, etc. Interviews must, however, be conducted by you or someone you know.
- Tutorials may be on any topic you think Deep Thought would ordinarily cover; however, please make them as descriptive, detailed and n00b-friendly as possible, and include some pictures where relevant. There's nothing like a poorly-written tutorial to leave people scratching their heads and going "Huh?"
If your article meets all of the above criteria, it will appear here soon. If not, we will send you an email describing the reason we did not publish it. You may revise your article and resubmit it, and we will reconsider publishing it.
