The message board is hacked.
I have no idea what it must feel like to run a site like that and then get it hacked. It must feel a bit like being assaulted or something...violated.

This is the second time. At least the first time the guy helped them fix the vulnerability.

I can’t log into the XvsXP admin control panel. And I don’t have access to the server via FTP. Shit!
I’ve gotta make sure DT’s forum and blogging software is up-to-date…

No data lost as far as I can tell. The board is actually functioning fine, but it’s probably staying offline until they get it updated.

I’ve run a website that got h4xx0r3d, and let me tell you, it’s like being kicked in the head several times with steel-toed boots. The website I was running (an earlier incarnation of Nexus ) was based on a phpBB forum and portal, and a lot of stuff got erased. I was very pissed off after all the hard work I had put into making everything run, and modifying 10 (yes, 10!) different phpBB themes to run on the whole site. But, that version of the site is no more, so it’s not particularly important now.

Then there was the time last year where the server DT is hosted on was hax0r’d, and we lost a week’s worth of forum posts.
Between a fried server and hax0r, June 2005 was not kind to us.
