To have a working install of every major Mac OS version I possibly can. I’ve already got the following:
System 7.0
Mac OS 9.2
Mac OS X 10.0
Mac OS X 10.3
Mac OS X 10.4

How many OS installs do you have going?

WinXP, Win98SE, Ubuntu 5.10

That should read WinXP, MS-DOS 7, Ubuntu 5.10.

Let’s see now. I have that live CD Ubuntu thingy and 2 OS X 10.4.3. I have an elderly 5300c which has OS 7.1 and OS 9.1. I’ve had at one time or another all the Windows from 3.1 and the MS DOS from 4 and up and DR DOS and OS/2 Warp. All of these but the OS X and XP are fond history for me and I never use them. Strangely I have not gotten rid of the hardware or software.

Of course none of the pre-OS X Mac OS will run on my new Macs. I tried to find a pic of the first computer I used. The closest I could come up with was this. It’s an MAI Basic 4 Minicomputer from circa 1983

Nothing. I’m just seeing some formatting glitches on this page. And now everything’s fine. *Shrugs* confused

Would that be from the occasional Safari rendering bug?

Anyway, I’ve just got 10.4.4 right now, but my sister is running 10.3.X, the G3 in the office has 9.2.2, and we have (or had) plenty of Macs with everything from 7 up to 9.

Does anyone want to try to get EVERY major version of either Mac OS or Windows running?  Anyone at all. smile

Those are the easy ones. Try every major version of every distro of Linux.

XP
Ubuntu
Kubuntu
10.4

I’d run Classic on my Cube but it didn’t come with discs.  I wish I had them cheap.

Hmmm… millions of different flavours of Linux and all their versions OR a small list of operating systems including Windows ME OR talk to a used car dealer.

Is being drug naked through the desert with your mouth on the tailpipe of a Volkswagon bus an option?

Mac OS X.4 *2 and 9.2 and Windows 2000.
Atari and DOS emulation too but a waste of time.
I had Gentoo installed for a while but it was useless for me.

My first computer, a Luxor ABC80. I was programming it with a BASIC language which was built into the computer then, 26 years ago.
