Hey guys, let’s try to expand the “Sites We Like” section of the sidebar. Post some of the sites you visit everyday, or several times a week, or on whatever regular basis. I would prefer sites with the same general motif as this one, e.g. computers and technology, but if lots of people like the same site on another topic, it will be considered as well.
I’ll take suggestions for a while, then discuss the results with the senior staff and we’ll decide on which sites should be added. More popular sites are more likely to be added, so if 10 people like SiteA.com and 5 people like SiteB.com, and only one person likes each of SiteC.com, SiteD.com and SiteE.com, then we’ll add A and B and discuss C, D and E. But I don’t want to rule out anyone’s choices, so please get them in today!

My vote goes to Arstechnica. Two words: John Siracusa (I totally annihilated that name, I think). It will bring all the Macies running. They’ll say, “Wow, they link to Siracusa! They must be t3h l33t.”

Who better to start off with than myself? These are some of the sites I read and enjoy regularly:
- Drunken Blog
- Betalogue
- Daring Fireball
- Call Me Fishmeal.
- Myspace (but we don’t have to count that one )
One site I think should be added, but that I don’t peruse regularly, is Ars Technica . How about the rest of y’allses?
EDIT: Dammit Liam, beat me to it! And beat me to Ars, too. Putz.

I second Engadget. It’s a good site to read through RSS, since the entire Weblogs inc system uses full text RSS.

How about some more sites off the mainstream?

Well, I’d say Deep Thought, but…

Actually, I kind of like that. It says, “Look, we’re so pretentious we link to ourselves!”

I’d say WinSuperSite, but PT likes Windows too much, and would cause some people’s heads to explode.

No no, I want to get more of a diversity in there since (presumably, at least) we’re not just a Mac-focused site. WinSuperSite is fine.
