Thanks for that. I did install the last Beta. I mean Beta 1 build xxxxx I am still mystified why MS with multi billions of dollars can’t build something at least as good as Firefox. Can someone explain this to me? and before you start don’t even try to defend IE. The only thing it may excel at at is displaying stuff or running stuff that MS makes a buck with.

Well I don’t see how you would be defending IE by explaining how they are fixing it or better yet explaining why it’s taken so long. In fact, you are agreeing with me.

Because Microsoft builds everything by committee?  Committees don’t have visions… they have meetings.

But I think it’s odd too.
First they buy software from Spyglass to catch up to Netscape, spend millions of dollars on it, winning the browser war and then put it more or less on ice as if they don’t care it has a million holes and is seriously crippled compared to the alternatives.

As if they already have the control through dominance they sought.
