The Marantz DV4600 black or silver for $300 plays SACD or DVD-Audio.

Based on what you read there and in the specs does it seem like it can decode those high-fidelity music discs by itself and that I won’t need a receiver?  I’d be using the coaxial connection.

Any knowledge would be appreciated.

The 4600 doesn’t specify DVD-A as something it can play. I didn’t see anything about a reciever, though.

Thanks, Liam.  I must’ve been thinking of something else like the next best model the DVD6600 for $600.  I thought it was $300?  Oh well.
