I got the chance to play a Wii at a friend’s house. Wii Bowling and Wii Tennis are fun games indeed. I then spent the next month trying to get one to no avail.
It’s incredibly addictive. I’ve got 20+ people who’ve played on it, and all of them are astounded by Wii Sports. Two who have been introduced are women who are not gamers by any stretch and would never pick up a 360 or PS3, but love the Wii.
One is a tennis player and is addicted to Wii Tennis. The other bowls in leagues and can’t get over how realistic Wii Bowling is…
And Zelda is as good a game as I’ve ever played despite that it’s not a Wii-developed game (was built for GC and they went back and redid controls for Wii - next Zelda is supposed to be even better). And I can’t WAIT for Metroid Prime 3.
Nick, you absolutely must do what you can to find a Wii and play with it (no pun intended, but that’s damn funny too).
If you lived in Tucson, AZ, I’d have already invited you over for some friendly competition.
It’s the sharing console!
You just want to have a party with the damn thing. Sundays have become Wii-days at my house, and it doesn’t look like it will let up after six straight weeks of grilling, football, Wii Sports and some beers.
I don’t have one yet. It looks like great fun. I’m already bored with World of Warcraft (top selling game again 2006, yawn) and I think the Wii looks like hours of great fun. The price is right, that’s for sure.
The question is what will Spore look like on it (Wright has stated Spore is going to all platforms)? I think the Wii might be too weak for it, maybe not. I may wait a bit and get the PS3.
I know reviving an entire forum is tricky, but here goes…
I got one. It’s pretty much everything I thought it would be. Wii Sports is pretty decent fun. Metroid Prime 3, however, is excellent. I just can’t get that Rundas Battle Theme out of my head.
