There’s 3 OS X apps.  I’ve tried two of them so far.  OnyX does system maintenance going beyond repairing permissions and Deeper lets you access hidden settings in Safari, Finder, iTunes, and more.  One example of the latter is having up and down arrows at both the top and bottom of the scroll bar.
