Mascot Naming Contest

Okay everybody, we need a name for our mascot, who took some very small candid photos for our emoticons.  However… we managed to snag a higher-resolution image of him for your personal enjoyment.

Please submit your suggestions here.  We will select the best ones (if there are a lot, like more than 5 or so) and make a new thread with a poll.  Then you will be able to vote for whichever you like best.

Please help us!  Our mascot needs a name!  Only you can solve this, blah blah blah. cool smile

Okay, this thread is back open.  Please don’t post more than 3 suggestions; anymore from one person will be ignored.

1)Zoinker

2)Scotty McNuffles

3)Aristotle

The first two for no reason whatsoever, the third to tie in with the whole “Deep Thought” concept.  Any philosopher would do, I suppose, but Aristotle struck me as a good name for a mascot. wink

I second ‘Aristotle’… even the word by itself just sounds nice.

Well then the obvious extensions are Socrates… but we could make him SoCrates… no idea, just that pronunciation appeals… Or Pythagoras… Go look at the School of athens smile… Plato and Aristotle are the two central ones though, and Plato seems more appropriate.

Somehow recycling a philosopher’s name just doesn’t strike me as unique. But that’s just me… hmmm

It does very much fit with deep thought though, and perhaps PlatOh would work better… he does look a bit surprised after all.

If you were to go with such a name, something like “PlatOh” would work. :o
