17” Powerbook Taken Out and Shot; MacBook Pro Slipped In

Today Apple announced the release of the 17 inch model of the MacBook Pro. It is only available with a 2.16 GHz Core Duo processor, which means it is only intended for those who want high end everything. The only notable change is the screen size; everything else is the same as it’s smaller cousin. High-end mobile Apple computing is now US$2799.

Deep Thought’s My Take: I don’t own a Mac, but I thought you iWeenies might like to have something a little bigger to salivate over. wink

UPDATE: Thanks to the watchful eye of a reader, Matt has brought it to my attention that the only things that you can get on the 15 inch model that is like the 17 inch model is the processor and drive (both are BTO only for the 15 inch.)
