A Conglomerate Blog Post

Dig in!

It’s been a while since I’ve had my last blog post. I’ve tried to grow several different ideas into an acceptable-length entry, but to no avail. Instead, I shall pull several half-ideas together for your enjoyment. Dig in!

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

As some of you may know, Bethesda Softworks’ latest installment in the famed Elder Scrolls series is due out soon (tomorrow! :0). I have placed my preorder for the collectors edition (PC), and hope to soon receive the call from Gamestop, at which point I will be able to claim the fruit of my wait. Expect a blog post soon (when I can finally tear myself away) detailing my impressions.

Star Wars Battlefront II

While waiting for Oblivion, the game I have been playing has been Star Wars: Battlefront II. It is the game that introduced me to the joys of playing online, and I have found it to be fun. I have been working on two projects related to this game:

Funny Screenshots gallery

I’ve been compiling screenshots of funny or cool looking screenshots as I play online. So far I have four, but more are on the way as I find them. I post them at a blog I created. I hope to get screenshots from others as well.

Online Map Name FAQ

A feature of Battlefront II online is the ability to see what map is next in the queue. You can do this by typing !nextmap. The feature is useful, but what the server responds with is cryptic. I’m writing a GameFAQS FAQ for identifying what it is talking about. I’ll post about it when it is complete.

A Coincidence?

I went to see how much space I have left on my drive, and this is what I found:

Coincidence? Or sign of things to come? (I hope my drive doesn’t die soon.)

So that about wraps it up. Look forward to my preview of Internet Explorer 7, and my TV-related tutorial, both of which will make decent reading on their own.
