Apple has thrown a birthday party for itself on the Apple campus this afternoon.  An estimated 3,000 Apple employees attended the event, which included cake, ice cream, and classic party games like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. There was also a pinata filled with Apple-themed candy.

Apple recieved a number of gifts for the big three-oh, including a Palm Zire PDA, an assortment of neckties, The Killers’ album Hot Fuss, as well as a $20 iTunes Music Store gift card. Oh yes, and a large pile of birthday cards. Perhaps the highlight of the party was when Phil Schiller jumped out of the birthday cake wearing nothing but a thong, thereby verifying earlier rumors regarding Mr. Schiller’s choice of clothing.
