Apple-X explores GarageBand’s impact

Apple-X.net features an editorial exploring how GarageBand is changing music creation, and how it is allowing anyone to make high-quality music.

I thought “If I am willing to pay 99¢ to listen to one of these songs [made in GarageBand], then I don’t see why nobody else should be.” I thought “It does not matter how expensive your recording equipment is. If you are making music, good music, then you deserve to be compensated for your work.” And I thought, “What a wonderful idea, that a normal guy can reach fame without connections, promotions, a record label, etc. All he needs is talent.” Oh yeah, and Garageband.

All-in-all, a good read.
