Geek Toy of the Week: Stay cool with Temperature Monitor 2.5

Have you ever been curious how warm your CPU is? Do you want to keep an eye on your recalled iBook or PowerBook battery’s temperature to make sure it won’t overheat when using it while you wait for the replacement? Or are you bored, and random Spotlight searches have lost their excitement? Or perhaps you need a girlfriend (:P)? If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, Marcel Bresink Software-Systeme’s Temperature Monitor is for you.

Temperature Monitor keeps tabs on a number of different system temperatures including power supply, processor, graphics processor and battery, as well as many other indicators depending on your system configuration. But that’s not all: if you have an Xserve, you can monitor your Xserve’s hard disk temperatures (geek!). You can display temperature gauges in a variety of ways. You can keep track of your system’s various temperature readings over a period of time with Temperature Monitor’s history.

Long story short, Temperature Monitor is quite possibly the most comprehensive temperature gauge on the Mac. Get it.
