Geek Toy of the week: TinkerTool 3.5
You’ve probably heard about some hidden features in OS X, but you’re not in the mood to hack plist files or enter Terminal commands. But you really, really want screenshots to be saved as PDFs instead of PNGs in Tiger. And you want to pin your Dock to a screen corner (why this feature is hidden is beyond me. Get with the program, Apple!). If this sounds like you, then TinkerTool 3.5 is your best friend. TinkerTool enables a large ammound of hidden features in OS X, such as deactivating Dashboard entirely, speeding up sheet animation, changing system fonts, and so on. And since the operating system is not touched, you can use TinkerTool knowing that it shouldn’t break things. TinkerTool also includes the ability to easily restore the default settings.
TinkerTool 3.5 is fully Tiger-compatible.
Marcel Bresink Software-Systeme is now the only developer to have two products featured as Geek Toys of the Week.
