The article gives some insight into the context of Amelio’s rise to the top of Apple’s heap, and how Jobs moved in. The article highlights some of Amelio’s successes (cutting operating costs, improving product quality) and failures (the inability to boost Apple’s sales). All-in-all, an entertaining read, especially for those who are fairly new to the Apple fold and are not as familiar with the Bad Old Days of 1995-1997 where Apple lost hundreds of millions--if not billions--of dollars.
