I never touched on the new PowerBooks, themselvesÖ just the new scrolling technology, so I figure Iíll say something about them.

Basically, I like everything about them except the lack of G5, and the lack of a new video chipset.† The new SuperDrive is nice, the Bluetooth 2 is nice, and everything else seems solid.

I truly do think, though, that the TiBooks were better-constructed than the whole AlBook lineÖ Iíve owned three TiBooks and two AlBooks over the years (Three AlBooks if you count my brotherís,) and the TiBooks held up a lot better.† The worst thing that would happen to them, even after being dropped, was a scratch.† The Aluminium powerbooks, though, seem so willing to shatter at the slightest touch.† Could just be my lemon-flavoured experiences, though.
