Slow Times At Technology High
Its a big deal guys, and would mean a lot to me and the rest of the staff.
I’m exhausted, the winter here in Kentucky is eating away my constitution to live. On top of this I lack all funding for Christmas gifts for anyone, and a merry Christmas is not in the question. I miss the summer, I miss the life, I miss being able to drive my bike to the park and simply ride for hours and hours until I run out of water and just want to die because I’m so thirsty. I miss the orange of the air, I miss it all.
Ive been lacking the motivation to write as of late. I still lack the motivation; the only reason I write now is to call DT my home. I have been here two years, writing and reviewing, and if it’s up to me I’ll be here two more. In all of my two years, never have I seen such a depression for blogs. All over the blogosphere, blogs are dropping like flies, and forums are dropping even faster. Today I look at DT, hoping to breathe my depressed air into it and bring its shuddering frame back into a rhythmic life. Or maybe I’m just insane.
The site has been through a lot because of me; I netted us the worst partnership of a lifetime. Geeks.com decided to start sending us computer parts for us to review, and as soon as they did, there was a disagreement, and it was gone. Along with it went the loss of any chance I would get to do what i really love to do, review hardware. I started writing here in hopes that someday I could be getting top of the line hardware and writing great articles about them, testing them and taking them apart and taking lots of pictures. So far, this is nowhere near coming true, and no one has offered to send me hardware yet, and I doubt any of them will. As I sit in my misery of lacking initiative for original purpose, I wish that things currently in motion were not in motion.
Deep Thought really needs some great people who love computers, who love Macs, who love PC’s, who love gaming, even who love to just sit around and use Excel, to come write for us. We really need some people who are going to write a lot, or you’re not going to see this site at all. We need people to keep the heart of Deep Thought filled with blood to pump, and we need it fast. So please, if your the least bit interested, if you can only write once a week, just or . Its a big deal, and it would mean a lot to me and the rest of the staff. Just make the subject of the email “Call for writers for Deep Thought.”
