One of the oldest rumors is back--again.

Mac Rumors is currently reporting on a Reuters article claiming that Apple is discussing the possibility of moving to Intel. Mac Rumors also cites an earlier rumor that suggests a transition to x86 may be more doable thanks in part to a piece of software by Transitive Technologies

Deep Thought readers may remember reading about a claim from Paul Thurrott stating that a WinHEC rumor suggested Apple was planning to switch to Intel chips.

Deep Thought’s take: We’ll see how this one plays out. But maybe Thurrott was actually on to something.
